Building International Solidarity: Working for Strategic Change
Date: Saturday October 17, 2009 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
CoDevelopment Canada and Vancouver District Labour Council present a workshop for union activists at the Maritime Labour Centre.
Join union members and representatives from local, provincial and national union international solidarity committees to share experiences and discuss new strategies for international solidarity work.
This workshop-style forum will include presentations and small-group discussions around important themes such as how to make international solidarity meaningful to your members and make it central to your union’s vision, engaging youth, planning action-oriented campaigns, and identifying areas where solidarity committees from different unions can cooperate.
