UNITE HERE! Local 40 members are holding a rally at the Coast Capri Hotel, 1171 Harvey Ave, Kelowna on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 5:00pm.
Coast Hotel workers across BC are fighting for respect, job security and a decent contract. In September, Coast workers in Vancouver rallied at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel. In October, Coast workers in Nanaimo rallied at the Coast Bastion Inn.
Now, Coast workers in Kelowna are demanding to be heard.
Labour unions have shown terrific support for the Coast workers by coming out to rally at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel and at the Coast Bastion Inn.
UNITE HERE! Local 40 represents workers at 8 Coast Hotels in BC. The Coast Hotels in Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna and Prince George are part of the current contract fight.
